Dr. Shannon Pope
M.D. & Co-Owner
Dr. Shannon Pope was raised in Smithfield, graduating Valedictorian of Smithfield High School in 1990. She attended the College of William and Mary and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biology in 1994. She then attended Eastern Medical School graduating in 1998 as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the Medical Honor Society.
Dr Shannon completed her internship and residency, serving as Chief Resident, in 2002 at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Her passion for life-long learning and interest in anti-aging skin care led her to incorporate Smithfield Aesthetics into her practice of medicine. While she is dedicated to caring for her patients, she considers her greatest joy to be raising and caring for her three children with her husband, Tom.
Denise Baylous
MSN, RN-C & Co-Owner
Denise Baylous has been a registered nurse for over 30 years. Denise is certified in critical care and flight nursing, is a nationally registered paramedic, and manager of Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance. Throughout her career she has worked in the cardiac/open heart surgery unit, neurological ICU, surgical ICU, emergency room and as a flight nurse.
She received her diploma of nursing at Mount Carmel School of Nursing in 1990, her BSN degree in 2006 and her MSN degree in 2009 from the University of Phoenix. She was an adjunct professor at Old Dominion University from 2006-2012 and has been with Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance since 2003. Denise has four children, two of which are twins! Her passion for aesthetics grew naturally with her love of making her patients feel better.
Kim Minga
Licensed Aesthetician & Permanent Makeup Artist
Kim is a licensed aesthetician and certified Permanent Makeup Artist, recognized by the Virginia State Board. She completed her training at The Institute of Health and Healing in Newport News, Virginia for Aesthetics and Eye Deux in Hampton, Virginia for permanent makeup. Kim offers a wide range of cosmetic services with a specialization in facials, including microdermabrasion, chemical peels, micro-needling, and Forma facials.
In addition to her expertise in facials, Kim is certified in body contouring, laser treatments, permanent makeup, and waxing services. With a strong focus on personalized care, she is dedicated to helping each client achieve their desired aesthetic outcomes, ensuring they leave every appointment feeling rejuvenated and confident in their appearance. Kim takes pride in creating a welcoming, professional environment where clients can relax and trust that they are receiving the best possible care.
